Rosmini vs Palmy
Rosmini facing off against what is effectively the HOME team. Palmy got out to an early lead only to have Rosmini knuckle down on the defensive end to make a game of it. Both teams stared to execute thru the 2nd period, Rosmini found the formula to contain the near 7 footer Callum McRae. This lead to a tightly contested 1st half.
Kelston vs Scotts College & Westlake vs Otago
Linus Jakszt got Kelston out of the starting blocks with a sweet reverse spin move.
With Kale Lawson gobbling up defensive rebounds to limit Scotts scoring opportunities early on, Kelston took a small advantage to end the 1st quarter 19-15
2nd quarter started with a Kelston steal, quickly followed by a pair of back to back turnovers leading to 2 quick scores from the Scotts side. With Scotts scoring easily off the Kelston turnovers they built a double digit lead midway thru the 2nd. Late in the quarter Kelston turned up the pressure to cause a few turnovers & cut the lead to 4 ending the quarter with Scotts 38-34 Kelston.
